How long does it take to see results?

Possibly! It depends on many, many factors. Different businesses have different needs and sometimes one marketing tool implemented correctly is all they need to reach their initial goal.

Can you completely replace my internal marketing staff?

Potentially. This would be explored in the assessment. For many clients we are their only marketing staff. Some of our larger clients find it helpful to have a few internal people.

How much should I expect to pay for a complete marketing plan?

Most businesses spend 7-12% of their annual revenue on some form of marketing – including marketing staff, tradeshows, website, publications, marketing and advertising. I have found for industry & manufacturing businesses around 2-5% is usually adequate for marketing as their company messages do not often change and their audience is smaller than most businesses. Some can get by with less – it really depends on many factors and if the goal is to maintain or grow their business.

What is a good "beginner" marketing budget?

If you’ve never done any marketing before, $30,000/annually (or $2,500/month) is a good place to start. This budget usually allows for the website to be upgraded and some key essential marketing foundations to be built in stages. For many businesses they start seeing increased website traffic and some new prospects enter the pipeline within the first 4-6 months, and a steady flow thereafter. As we get to know your business we will be able to more accurately predict what results your business should expect.
